Week 12     14-19th May

Making wooden toys
Task 1

For the wooden toy task i decided to make a tank. I chose it because I love any thing to do with the military. I used a plan to cut the wood then make the tank. I used the dropsaw quite a bit to cut the wood then glued it all together. It only took a couple of weeks to finish it as we had carpentry twice a week.

Task 2

Write a paragraph to review your project:

1) How successful was your project?

My project was successful because i finished it on time and it turnt out how it was meant to turn out.

2) What went well?

Painting it went well because I had a clear design of how i wanted to paint it.

3) What could you have done differently, to make it more successful?

Made it into a more realistic tank with a better paint scheme.

4)Was the choice of toy the right one for the time available?

Yes because i thought it was better than all the other toys.

5) Overall, how successful was the group at making their toys?

Everyone finished on time and all the toys were complete.

Week 15

In carpentry we are constructing a tool shed on the living campus. This is only the base getting started. Here in this picture we were pouring the concrete mix into the gaps of wood framing to make as out base. once the concrete had set we removed all the wood so we had the base.

We made frames here In this Picture. We cut wood with a drop saw to exact measurements and attached each bit of wood using a nail gun. We have completed two of the three frames for our tool shed in the living campus. Ready to be thrown in the pile of frames. Later on we attached all the frames to fit.

In this picture we have finished all the framing for the tool shed and we are clamping all three frames together to fit. They fit. after this we put em in the trailer and transported them to the tool shed in the living campus
